AU: Sam and Kurt meet in Lima years after the big reunion to honor their great friend, Finn Hudson. Long story short, Kurt loses his flight to New York and has to stay in his hometown for another night. Sam who has been living there for years now decides to help him find a way for him to get to New York before Christmas or at least make his stay more comfortable. The two unusual friends catch up but their awkward meeting also sparks a life-changing experience all in the course of a night. (based on Before We Go)
