happy birthday kate!! you’re the most special person to me (easily, by like a thousand miles, the person who would be at the bottom of the lake if i were participating in the triwzard tournament) and i for one am wearing a party hat and blowing into a noise-maker in celebration of your existence. you’re so funny, so brilliantly smart and reasonable and patient. you deserve the moon. ilu so much, katie80. do not forget: tonight, we feast (dragon emoji).

thank you so much, boo!!  you are my favest fave too, and i know i literally wouldn’t have made it this far in life without you holding my hand.  it’s so crazy to me that we started hanging out when i was… what, 18??  it’s like a lifetime ago!!  thank you for being with me through it all, and making me appreciate my life and feel loved every single day.

It’s downhill from here.

Last night I dreamt that Channing Tatum nervously presented me with a dress he’d knitted for me. He clenched his (big, work-roughened) hands in anxious fists while I unfolded it.

“You don’t have to wear it,” he said, before I could say anything.

The dress was perfect. It was beautiful. It could turn into a skirt.

“You like it?” Channing Tatum said, smiling crookedly.

The dress had pockets.

Hey, you guys do realize that Chord doesn’t actually ship anything, right? He’s not in the Glee fandom. His Glee experience is totally different from the audience’s, and he’s not any different than most industry people, who have had to have shipping as a concept explained to them — and they still don’t really get it.

The way the smushed portmanteau ship name thing works nowadays is that it can refer to any two or three or four characters and it doesn’t have to mean romantically. See: #DaLeaStreet. Last night there were lots of Sancedes scenes, for example. People like Kurtcedes and Hummelberry, and those are not romantic; these names are just a way to refer to the friendship as much as anything else. Samchel and Fabrevans are not any different than Blam to Chord — it’s just a way to refer to two characters interacting or sharing a scene. A Samchel or Bram scene to him is probably just one where they exchange some dialogue or are doing something together, not one where there are heavy hints of sexual attraction or romance.

Chord in particular is non-committal at best anytime he’s mentioned any ship. He did knowingly stir the pot with Brittana shippers by posting Bram pictures since they were SO UPSET WITH HIM ALREADY, but he’s not doing that to Samcedes shippers by mentioning Bram or Samchel in his replies. It’s a complete given that lots of Samcedes content is coming up.

In general, Chord’s not to be taken seriously. He has several times claimed that he ships Sam/Sue so he has not had to answer ship questions with commitment. He is joking a great deal of the time. There’s no reason to think that Chord really ships anything over anything else or is committed to some particular romantic relationship for Sam.
