I’m not going to leave this vague, because I’m hearing all kinds of panic and inaccurate rumors from people who didn’t hear the whispers before now. Karyn Colfer, Chris’s mother, passed away suddenly last week. A published obituary confirmed it today.

Please, as others have said before me, respect the privacy of Chris and his family. This must be a tremendously difficult time for them, and the best thing we can do is give them their space.
