The German Ice Dancing team’s short program last night was done to Chris Colfer’s cover of “Le Jazz Hot” from Glee.

Originally a song sung by beloved gay icon Julie Andrews in the movie Victor/Victoria wherein she plays a woman who passes as a man to work as a drag queen. In this version sung by an openly gay actor/singer playing an openly gay character on the gayest show on broadcast network TV while dressed like this:

I’m really enjoying this game of “how much gay can we squeeze into this Olympics to REALLY piss off Putin.”

So, his painful attractiveness aside (jfc he is magnificent), I simply cannot get over what an incredible actor Chris is. Like, that first gif especially – he isn’t wearing anything that Chris wouldn’t wear, but that is absolutely, without a doubt Kurt Hummel and not Chris Colfer. The way he moves, the way he holds himself, the default expression of cool superiority stretched firm but thin over so much authentic vulnerability – he just becomes Kurt in every way, and it just fucking floors me when I remember the extent of his talent.
